Canada Beyond the Big Cities, Part 5: Employment Opportunities in Greater Sudbury, Ontario

Canada is a big country but most immigrants still settle in the country’s biggest cities – like the Greater Toronto and Metro Vancouver areas. This has a big impact on their settlement and integration as there are significant differences in the cost of living and employment opportunities across different communities.

JVS Toronto partners with local agencies beyond the big cities through Project Welcome, to connect pre-arrival immigrating professionals to occupation-specific mentors in communities across Canada. In this webinar, part 5 of our “Canada Beyond the Big Cities” series, you will learn more about living and working in Greater Sudbury. With its large city amenities, along with 330 lakes within its boundaries, Greater Sudbury offers many types of living opportunities both in urban and rural settings. Spend less time commuting and more time exploring nature and outdoor recreation.

You will also hear from a representative from Levert – one of the largest industrial, mining, and staffing recruitment companies operating in northern Ontario and other provinces – talking about the job opportunities they have for job seekers starting or re-entering the workplace.
